"It’s back! The Mountain Hare’s brewery is now back in action and to get everything up and running we’ve tried to recreate the original Gold. This second brew is now a lot closer to the original and a lot more sensible at 4.2%! FYI: We’ll be serving our own real ale directly from 300l tanks beneath the bar using a hybrid cask widget system. The beer is NOT force pressurised with CO2 but uses a cask aspriator to replace served beer with CO2 rather than air. These new systems offer a massive improvement in quality and longevity by excluding any air (and bacteria) from entering the beer. Aspirator’s are proven technology and even approved by CAMRA! So keep an eye on the pubs live beer lists as we’ll be introducing further beers over the next few months as we tweak and scale up production."
